A woman smiling, wearing a green medical scrub top with the logo 'Sydney Women's Wellness' embroidered on it, standing against a plain white background.

Dr Sarah Farrell is a women’s health GP and the founder of Sydney Women’s Wellness and Regional Women’s Wellness, both built on the same conviction: that women deserve time, evidence and a doctor who listens properly, no matter where they live.

Sarah grew up in the Southern Highlands, with family from Cooma and deep ties to Merimbula on the South Coast. She knows what regional women are quietly asked to accept, the waitlists, the locums, the four-hour round trips, and she doesn’t think any of it should be the price of living outside a capital city.

Sarah completed her Bachelor of Medical Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2014 and her RACGP Fellowship in 2020. She holds the Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health through Family Planning Australia, has completed the Sydney Child Health Program, and is an Antenatal Shared Care GP with Royal North Shore Hospital and a member of the Australasian Menopause Society. Her areas of interest include perimenopause and menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, contraception and breast health.

As a mum of three, with lived experience of premature births, PCOS and endometriosis, she brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her care.

Dr Jo Mackson is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) with a special interest in women’s health. Jo is passionate about providing women with individualised care, in order for her patients to lead long and healthy lives.

Her areas of interest include fertility and family planning, especially those considering donor conception, menopause, contraception, sexual health and medical termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks.

Jo was born and raised in country QLD.  Many of her family and friends still live in rural areas and she is acutely aware of the challenges regional women face in accessing healthcare. She is passionate about providing equitable care to all women, no matter where they live in Australia.

After graduating from Kingaroy State High, Jo moved to Brisbane for university. In a move that surprised many, Jo then joined the Royal Australian Air Force. She still serves as a reservist Medical Officer today.

Some questions need specialist answers, and distance shouldn’t stand between you and them.

Our specialists consult via telehealth, so you can see them from home, and see patients in person in Sydney when an examination or procedure is required. Referrals are arranged by our GPs as part of your care, so the pathway is seamless rather than something you have to navigate alone.

Good women’s health care is rarely just about hormones, which is why our GPs work alongside allied health clinicians who translate beautifully to telehealth.

Our lactation consultant, sleep consultant, dietitian and psychologist all consult via video, so the support that has traditionally been hardest to find outside the cities, help with a struggling feed at 6am, an infant who won’t sleep, eating well with PCOS, or your own mental health in the thick of it all, is now an mouse click away rather than a road trip.
